Commercialization of research results and “Success stories” of selected members
Members of the PerMed consortium have developed professional organization technology transfer and have a long term record of successful work in the related area.
- The leading institution – IOCB Prague (ÚOCHB AVČR) is internationally recognized institute in the field of development of novel medicines. - Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine is a new infracture which was developer with a broader project BIOMEDREG at the Palacky Universtiy in Olomouc. Fundamental research in biomedicine is organicaly combined with translational research which creates direct link between „bench to bed“. The institute is very active in commercialization of results of the basic research and has initiated multiple clinical trials aiming at translation of science to medicinal practice. - BIOCEV, CEITEC, ICRC and IT4 Innovations are newly established infrastructures for fundamental research in areas of biology, biomedicne and computational science. In addition to fundamental research all the institution have strong ambitions in the area of commercialization of results of their scientific work. - Charles University in Prague is the oldest (established in 1348) and the largest university in the Czech Republic. Two faculties – pharmaceutical fakulty and 1st medical fakulty are key players in the novel biomedicínal development.
